2016 AUDIE AWARDS
See And Congratulate The Many Finalists
In This Year's Audie Awards
® Competition
February 10, 2016

(VOXtra) - In mid May at a Chicago Gala we'll learn who wins this year's coveted Audie Awards® for audiobook and spoken word excellence.

And now, let's see who the jurors in the Audio Publishers Association (APA) competition have chosen for the final round of judging in each category.

The finalists below - including for Best Female Narrator and Best Male Narrator - have been announced for the 21st annual Audie Awards competition.

"The vibrancy of the audiobook industry is apparent in the continued year-over-year increase in submissions," says APA President Linda Lee.

And Audie Competition Chair Janet Benson adds, "Picking this year's top titles was a tough challenge for our judges because there were so many excellent entries. Each of these finalists is a great representative of the best our audio world has to offer."

In this competition, publishers enter titles in various categories for recognition of excellence. Finalists are selected by a diverse group of experienced judges, and one winner is awarded the Audie in each category.

Also, for 2016, three new awards have been added: Industry Awards for Excellence in Design, Marketing, and Production.

Finalists for these new categories and for Audiobook of the Year will be announced in March.

And by the way, the May 11 Audie Awards Gala promises to be another highly entertaining event, emceed by award-winning comedian, author and commentator Paula Poundstone.
