Pat Fraley's 'Crowned Heads of Casting' Event

 Question for fans of voice star Pat Fraley's workshop events: Do you attend for the educational value or entertainment or ...Well, naturally, the answer is "for both!"
Fraley calls his voice-over workshops "events" because they famously present a team of top working professionals in the day's topic. And those who've attended a Fraley workshop know that his guidance through the day is bound to be highly entertaining.
Case in point: Next up is The Crowned Heads of Casting on April 18 in Los Angeles, featuring three top casting professionals.
"With these three kings, I'm the guy with the bell on his hat," Fraley tells VoiceOverXtra.
Maybe, but as a voice talent, producer and creator of more than 4,000 character voices, Fraley will be a fountain of valuable insights, too.
Note: Fraley's March 28 Animated Women workshop is sold out, and only 12 spaces are available for The Crowned Heads of Casting event - so early registration is advised if you want to attend (see below).
THE INSTRUCTORS
The workshop's instructors will focus on different areas of expertise. They are:
 Interactive/Games: Todd Resnick, casting executive of Resnick Interactive Development and founder/CEO of Gamecues Corp. He has cast more than 100 voice talent for interactive/gaming projects and directed more than 1,000 such projects.Commercials: Kent McCaman, senior broadcast producer and director for Davis Elen Advertising. He has cast, directed and produced more than 15,000 radio and TV voice-overs in his 30-year career.
 Audiobook/Narration: Stefan Rudnicki, CEO and president of Sky Boat Company. An audiobook producer, he has cast approximately 2,000 audiobooks - many of them, multiple reader projects."Learn what the people in power want," says Fraley. "Discover the roles you have a chance at being cast for, and how to effectively audition for those roles."

The event will be held Apr. 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., at World Famous Buzzy's Recording, 6900 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles. The tuition is $595.
