Voices of Vision - Sept. 23-25 In Toronto ...
Network & Learn With Top Professionals
August 11, 2010

Say - here's a voice over conference that's not on the West Coast! But it's still at a convenient fly-in location from anywhere.

Voices of Vision, a major voice over networking and educational event, comes to Toronto on Sept. 23-25 - an opportunity to enjoy "two days and three nights with many of the voice over industry's top professionals and talents - for the price of a single day workshop," explains event organizer / voice talent Shawn Maroney.
  • The trainers include Pat Fraley, Deb Munro, Bill Holmes and MJ Lallo.
  • Agent Roger King and voice actor Jodi Krangle are luncheon speakers, and voice actor/coach Elley-Ray Hennessy is emcee.
"This event is designed for everyone - whether you're just starting out in voice overs, or a working pro," Maroney notes.

"You'll network and perform with casting directors, agents, directors, producers and other voice actors."

TIME WITH TRAINERS

The workshops are structured as four-hour sessions.

"You'll get enough time with each teacher to really get a feel for what they are teaching," says Maroney. "Plus, you'll get mic time and a Q&A."

The well-known and popular trainers will be addressing:
  • Pat Fraley, keynote speaker, "Pick Up Your Oscar," on the acting method he created for the rapid-fire needs of voice over.
  • Deb Munro, "Think Outside the Box," on taking chances with auditions and demos.
  • Bill Holmes, "Script Interpretation and Demos," on how to approach a script like a pro, and key points to include in your demo.
  • MJ Lallo, "Creating Kick-Ass Characters," on how to create living, breathing voice over characters.
LUNCHEON FUEL

The luncheons (included in the event price) will fuel your mind as well as the body, Maroney adds. The speakers are:
  • Roger King, owner of the PN Agency, on what top agents look for in voice talent, and what to expect from them.
  • Jodi Krangle, voice actor and online marketing guru, on how to promote with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and online marketing.
AND LET'S PARTY!

"Saturday night's festivities will be unique," Maroney promises.

"Deb Munro loves karaoke, and I thought, what if we get the band - Itchy and Scatchy - to play along? Now people can really party like rock stars!"

Munro will also host a Saturday night game show.
