Getting Attention - Of Audiobook Publishers
Pat Fraley and Scott Brick / The Voice Company, Burbank, CA
No matter how skilled you are at audiobook narration, you must get the attention of audiobook publishers - and industry stars Pat Fraley and Scott Brick will explain how to do that in this full-day event. Adding to the instruction is special guest Director Christina Rooney, who directs audiobooks for Penguin/Random House, Harper, Disney/Hyperion and more. Attendees will learn how to make evocative, cutting edge performance choices, select scripts and samples that grab the publisher in the first 5 seconds, make slates that attract the listener, and more. Also, attendees will record and can use those recordings on demos and as samples. Teacher approval required; limited to 10 participants; 10 am - 6 pm.
