This annual conference of the Audio Publishers Association at the Jacob J. Javitts Convention Center brings industry leaders (publishers and narrators) together for educational sessions, conferencing and networking. Separate tracks for publishers and narrators run concurrently, and for narrators, presentations include Marketing Successfully With Manners, Translating Voiceover to Audiobooks, Publishers/Pros Speed Dating, Home Studio Workflow, Vocal Health and Sustainability, Listening Community Reviews, Doing Your Homework, and an entertaining Listening Lounge with performances.
Winners of the coveted 2013 Audie Awards will be announced at this gala affair (black tie optional) at the New-York Historical Society in New York City. See Audie Finalists. Writer Daniel Handler, known best for his popular Lemony Snicket series, will entertain, and the elegant evening includes a cocktail party "with plenty of dinner-worthy delectables," awards presentation, and champagne and dessert.
