VOICE OVER NETWORK
Founded by Rachael Naylor (pictured) in 2014, The VoiceOver Network was a driving force in the industry, providing voice actors with unparalleled opportunities for growth, networking, and professional development. Through in-person events like VOND and GET YOUR GAME ON, The Buzz Magazine (the only magazine dedicated exclusively to the voice over industry), webinars, workshops, and more, VON touched the lives and careers of tens of thousands of voice actors. “When I started The VoiceOver Network, my goal was to create a space where voice actors could come together, learn, and thrive," she says. "Over the years, we built something truly special - an incredible community that has supported and uplifted each other every step of the way.”
A DIFFICULT DECISION In 2018, Rachael was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), and she explains that in recent years, managing her health while running the business, being a single mother, and maintaining her own voice over career became increasingly challenging. “Last year was particularly tough for me, and I’ve had to make the incredibly difficult decision to close The VoiceOver Network so I can focus on my health, personal life, and family,” she shares. Despite the closure, VON members will have access to the website until February 13, 2025, to make the most of available resources. LOOKING AHEAD While this chapter is ending, Rachael says she remains deeply passionate about the industry. She will continue her voice over career, coaching, The VoiceOver Accelerator program, and work with Elements Demos, helping voice actors develop their skills and create top-tier demos. “I am beyond grateful for the incredible support I’ve received from our members, my amazing team, teachers, speakers, and partners over the years," she says. "This isn’t goodbye, just a shift in focus. I will always be here cheering on this wonderful community.”
