- You'll be envious of the amazing voice-over career that Kat Cressida is whirling through now - and that's all the more reason to enjoy her career story and advice tonight, when she appears with "the guys" as special guest on the Voice Over Body Shop (VOBS) webcast (starting at 6 pm PT / 9 pm ET on vobs.tv) "She's everywhere!" says Dan Lenard (the Home Studio Master), who co-hosts the webcast with George Whittam
(VO audio tech guru). Trained as an actor at UC Berkeley and A.C.T. in San Francisco, Kat found her true calling in voice-over, landing gigs just a few short months after her first VO workshop, doing promos for TNT's James Bond Marathon, and as Dee Dee in Dexter's Laboratory for Cartoon Net. Since then, Kat has voiced national campaigns for major brands, animation for many network shows, and promos and trailers for clients including NBC, Versus and ESPN. She was the first woman to do live announcing for NFL Draft, and also excels at celebrity voice matching - for instance, for Neve Campbell, Scarlett Johanssen, Helena Bonham-Carter and many more. And speaking of celebrities, Kat has been invited to be a Celebrity Judge for the Miss America USA Pageant 2018. You can send questions for Kat and the guys now to theguys@vobs.tv.
