- Wouldn't it be nice to know how the casting director picks a winner - before you submit your voice-over audition?For major commercials and other projects, the upfront gatekeeper is the casting director. And Kathryn Horan - tonight's guest on the Voice Over Body Shop (VOBS) webcast (starting at 6 pm PT / 9 pm ET on vobs.tv) - will give you an inside view of her role. "She'll tell us what goes on when being chosen to even audition for a project, let alone chosen for the gig," explains Dan Lenard (the Home Studio Master), who co-hosts the webcast with George Whittam
(VO audio tech guru). She has a B.A. in Theatre Arts and Acting from New Mexico State University, and has been in the entertainment biz in Los Angeles for more than 10 years.
