Hey Joe!

Your studio sure looks like a fun place to hangout!

Your take on slates is well taken (no pun intended)...even to the point of being "in character" on the slate if the audition is calling for a character of some kind. ANYTHING that causes those first few seconds to be listened to is worth including...EXCEPT if the client is not asking for slates. Although I used to slate everything in my newbie days, it is rare for me to slate anything now. My name on the file label seems to be enough. Unless the client specifically asks for a slate, I don't include one...
