Politics, Schmolitics - Let's Have Fun!
Voice Your Political Impersonation ...
Sept. 19, 2008

Saturday Night Live: competition is coming!

Political impersonations are a mainstay of the long-running NBC Saturday night comedy show, and stars Tina Fey and Amy Poehler electrified the electorate recently with their takes on Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton.

Now voice actors can get into the act, too.

Voice123, the online voice-over casting marketplace, has announced a Political Impersonation Contest that will bring free subscriptions to the service for the best impersonations of:
  • Barack Obama
  • John McCain
  • Joe Biden
  • Sarah Palin
"Write your own script and provide your own impersonation," explains Steven Lowell, Quality Assurance Manager at Voice123. "Submit as teams. Submit by yourself. You decide!"

CONTEST SPECS

Here's how the contest works:

Post submissions of 60 seconds or less at the Voice123 Premium Forums, from now through Oct. 25.

From Oct. 27 to Nov. 2, voice actors will vote on the entries, and a winner will be announced for each of the four impersonated candidates.

Each of the four winners will receive a free six-month Voice123 subscription. Plus, on Election Day, each winning impersonator of the newly-elected President and Vice President will receive an additional six-month subscription.

"All contestants will receive free web exposure through the Voice123 Blog and Forums," Lowell adds.

So fellow Americans ... have fun!
