Cutting Edge Audiobook Narration

Cutting edge narration is a cut above simply being good at what you do—it’s the path to getting attention, getting work, and getting awards. This one-day event will set you on that path, led by three standouts in the voice over industry: Patrick Fraley, Joan Baker, and Aaron Blank. Be prepared to learn these audiobook narration skills: bolder shifts from omnipresent to a character’s thoughts and feelings; when to go big and when to go subtle with a character; how to work the scene, not the words; and ways to make a mediocre book better. Pat Fraley (left) has guided more people into narration book deals than anyone else in the audiobook industry; Joan Baker is the co-founder of the Society of Voice Arts and Sciences; Aaron Blank is an executive producer at Penguin Random House Audio. All of them have been nominated for, or have won, Audie, Earphones, or Grammy Awards. Event is limited to 10 participants; teacher approval required.
